Panchacharam, a man whose vision, dedication, and relentless hard work laid the foundation of everything we stand for today — along with the equally strong support and contribution of Mrs. P. Santhi Lakshmi, whose passion and commitment shaped the soul of our food.
Starting 17 years ago with just a single product, this journey was built step by step — with strategy, resilience, and an unwavering belief in quality and trust. Today, Iyarkai Unavagam proudly offers 50+ products, a true reflection of their combined effort, determination, and clear vision.
In the early days, Mrs. Santhi Lakshmi single-handedly managed everything in the kitchen — from preparation to perfection — handling every detail from A to Z. Her dedication laid the foundation for the authentic taste that defines us today. Now, she leads and supervises a team of 15+ kitchen staff, ensuring that the same quality, consistency, and traditional taste are maintained every single day. She is the key reason behind our signature taste and its consistency over the years.
Known for his kind nature and warm personality, Mr. Panchacharam is not just a founder but the heart of the shop. Many customers visit not only for our products, but also for him — for his guidance, honesty, and the trust he has built over the years.

Our History
Started in the year 2007, Iyarkai Unavagam was started as a small business in Sivakasi with only one item in the menu, the keerai soup.
With the grit and determination of Panchacharam, the shop grew in the number of customers and the menu grew in size as well. We started selling Kolai Puttu, Paal Kozhukattai, Thengai Uluntham Paal and more.
And now, in the year 2026, we have started selling our food items online through our very own website.
